Spring Session Ends - Summer starts soon!
Hello Summer!!! Thank you everyone who participated in our Spring semester recital. What amazing talent we have in our students! They all did a great job!
Although the office is closed for the remainder of June and will reopen on July 11, we are still working remotely and STILL ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS for our NEW SUMMER PROGRAM! You can register online, or by phone or email. If you have any questions or need help with registration, please contact us. If you call and no one is available to answer your call right away, leave a message and we will get back to you soon!
Space is filling up fast. If the instrument or time period you want is sold out, please send us an email and tell us what it is you wanted. We'll put you on a waiting list in case there are any cancellations, or if there are enough requests we might bring in an extra teacher. Also, if the private lessons you want are not available, consider enrolling in one of our group programs. Group programs are a great way to expand your child's musical education and have fun with other students, too! Also, students who are already registered (including group programs) have the first right to private lessons if new openings become available.
Summer in the City!
Our new Summer program, titled "Summer in the City" starts at our Bronx Community College location on Saturday, July 11, and will run for eight weeks through August 29.
Registration opened to the general public May 4, and continues as long as space is available. Space is sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so register early! Private piano lessons are already filling up fast!
Our Summer program features private lessons in piano, guitar, violin, and percussion. Additionally, group programs are available in Music Appreciation and Music Composition. For additional information, please see Summer Courses and Registration.
BCM Spotlight
Andrew Almeida, age 6
The faculty at BCM is in agreement: the focus and determination that beginning piano student Andrew Almeida exhibits is remarkable for a student of any age - let alone a first grader!
Andrew began studying piano in the fall of 2008. His favorite song to play is "Mary Had a Little Lamb" which he played at the BCM student recital last term. In his free time, Andrew likes to play Nintendo.
