ELIZABETH THODE HOARD
"Miss Thode," as she's known to us, was born April 20, 1907 in Walhalla, South Carolina, and it was there that she discovered her love of music. A young friend of the family would occasionally drop by the house and sing "You are my Sunshine" to Elizabeth. She was transformed by the melody and sat down at the piano and began to play it by ear to capture the feeling of joy in the memory of her friend...

Andrew Almeida, age 6
The faculty at BCM is in agreement: the focus and determination that beginning piano student Andrew Almeida exhibits is remarkable for a student of any age - let alone a first grader!
Andrew began studying piano in the fall of 2008. His favorite song to play is "Mary Had a Little Lamb" which he played at the BCM student recital last term. In his free time, Andrew likes to play Nintendo.

Guy Alcantara and Yolenny Anderson
This mother/son team of BCM excellence has been studying at BCM for the past 7 months.
Yolenny
is a violin student of Brenda Vincent (pictured). Guy studies piano
with JoAnne Harris. His favorite music (besides "Ode to Joy") is
Eminem. When he and Yolenny are not at BCM, they like to go to the golf
course.
